Partnerships that keep on giving and sustaining our local communities…and beyond.

Our friends at Refugee Artisan Initiative have been busy sewing these beautiful pins to raise funds for @redcrossukraine relief efforts. If you’d like to double your love (donation + wearing these pins in solidarity) please head to their refugeearts.org where you’ll find their online shop and these pins to purchase. Here is the beautiful Diba, who escaped from Taliban three times. Now, she’s helping refugees in Ukraine with so much heart. (Image by Refugee Artisan Initiative) Diba is one of many talented and incredible artisans at RAI. In January, a group of four Impact West Seattle members nominated RAI to be a recipient of our women’s giving circle. Sea & Pine X Best Friends Animal Society

December 2021 As 2021 draws to a close, I want to shout out a special partner whom I’ve been working with behind the scenes this year. If you’re an animal lover who cares deeply about furry friends you’ll absolutely love @bestfriendsanimalsociety 💙 A beautiful non-profit with an incredible mission. It began as a sanctuary for homeless & special needs animals…and has grown into a network of shelter & rescue partners around the country to save lives now.  These limited edition Best Friends Totes were made exclusively for their Golden Circle donors. Hello Cactus Leather

My plant loving friends, the new Fall 2021 line will be using plant based material made out of this beautiful, durable and super cool #cactus. It’s been so exciting to partner up with sustainable farms and get to work with this wildly cool material.Only the mature plant of the cactus is harvested allowing for multi-harvests from the same plant. No irrigation is needed as it grows with rainwater only. Winner of the 2020 Green Product Award, cactus leather produces no harm to biodiversity. There is so much more to know and love about this incredible innovation and you’ll get to find out more in the next weeks.I’m honored to be one of the first small businesses to work with cactus leather...

Moving The Needle Closer to Sustainable & Life-Giving Fashion

When I started back in 2017, I desired to create nature inspired products that could provide value, meaning and goodness. The world was changing. Using PETA friendly materials was something I wanted to commit to from the beginning. The labor required in sewing with these materials is intensive, but it was a challenge I wanted to take on if it could offer a cruelty free alternative.  Here we are in 2021. The time we live in now has dramatically shifted just in the last few years. The environment, economy, the socio-cultural callings. Behind the scenes, I’ve been working to take Sea+Pine to a place that is still relatively new for designers, but that is important to sustaining life and goodness...
